Journal-fit check
Confirm that your topic, method, article type and subject area fit the current scope and author instructions of the journal.
Manuscript check
- Title and abstract match the actual study
- Research question and objectives are clear
- Methods are sufficiently described
- Tables and figures are labelled consistently
- References are complete and formatted correctly
Originality and ethics
Review originality, authorship, citations, disclosures and any research-ethics requirements before submission. Avoid text recycling or copied material simply to meet a word count.
Submission package
Prepare the manuscript, cover letter, supplementary files, declarations and any required author information according to the current journal instructions.
After submission
Keep a record of the manuscript ID and dates. When peer-review comments arrive, respond to each point clearly and document what changed.
